Can’t tell you what the matchups will be yet, but we do know who will be there Saturday morning at Harrison County for the 10th Region tournament draw.

The girls’ draw will take place at 9:30 a.m., boys’ to follow at 10 a.m.

The boys’ qualifiers are Campbell County and Scott out of the 37th District, Robertson County and Harrison County out of the 38th District, Mason County and Bracken County out of the 39th District and George Rogers Clark and Montgomery County out of the 40th District.

The Camels, Black Devils, Royals and Cardinals enter as district champs and No. 1 seeds, the Eagles, Thorobreds, Polar Bears and Indians the district runner-ups and No. 2 seeds. No district team can play one another and are on opposite sides of the bracket.

Some great matchups are in store with seven of the top nine teams based off the latest RPI ratings in the tournament.

George Rogers Clark looks to repeat as the region champ and enters as the favorite with Mason County right on their tail.

Others like Montgomery County, Campbell County, Scott and Robertson County are all capable of making a run next week. Harrison County and Bracken County could pose as upset contenders with the right matchup.

Tournament days next week for the boys’ are quarterfinals on Monday and Tuesday, semifinals on Friday and the championship game to be played on Saturday. All games will be played at the Mason County Fieldhouse.

The girls’ qualifiers are Bishop Brossart and Scott out of the 37th, Harrison County and Nicholas County out of the 38th, Mason County and St. Patrick out of the 39th and George Rogers Clark and Montgomery County out of the 40th have all qualified.

The Lady ‘Stangs, Fillies, Lady Royals and Lady Cardinals are all No. 1 seeds, the Lady Eagles, Lady Jackets, Lady Saints and Lady Indians are the No. 2 seeds.

Tournament dates for the girls are quarterfinals on Wednesday and Thursday of next week, semifinals on March 29 and the championship game on March 30. All games are at the George Rogers Clark Arena in Winchester.
