ELKHART LAKE — Nathan Riess tied for sixth place with a 77 to lead West Bend West to fifth place at Friday’s 23-team event. Sheboygan Lutheran won with 315 strokes, followed by the Spartans (329), Kewaskum (sixth, 332), Hartford Union (seventh, 337) and West Bend East (12th, 354).

Anthony Pietrangelo tied for ninth with a 79, followed by West teammates Ryan Spaeth (85) and Bryce Barnett (88). Eli Steinbauer shot a 79 to tie for ninth for Kewaskum, followed by Luke Graf (T-12th, 80), Jaxson Voit (84) and Brent Krejcarek (89).

The Orioles counted scores from Matthew Zagar (81), Bennett Stefffek (85), Alex Kuepper (85) and Trent Schmitt (86). William Byron carded an 83 for the Suns, followed by Ian Gates (90), Kieran Doherty (90) and Tony Farchione (91).

The West Bends travel to today’s Fond du Lac Invitational at Rolling Meadows and Hartford is at LaBelle for today’s MACC Fund Invitational. Kewaskum heads to Mascoutin Monday.

LISBON — The Warhawks (9-5, 4-4 Greater Metro) host Pius XI today while the Chargers improved to 8-5 and 7-1.

Campbellsport 7 Kewaskum 3

CAMPBELLSPORT — Everett Donath went 3-for-3 with a double for the visitors. The Cougars (10-6) capitalized on three errors by Kewaskum (8-11), leading to four unearned runs.

Tyler Stray went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Kewaskum, which hosts Cedar Grove-Belgium today.

Softball

Hamilton 3 Germantown 2

LISBON — Kayla Preiss had two hits and Julia Sina drove in both runs for the Warhawks, who got eight strikeouts from Kylie Otto. Germantown (12-5, 10-2 Greater Metro) visits Brookfield East Monday and the Chargers are 10-3 in the GMC.

WAUKESHA — Addy Fura had a hat trick and Kayden Scrima added two goals for the Crusaders (5-6). Ava Zarling scored both goals for the Chargers (6-5-1), who visit Shoreland Lutheran Monday.

Cedar Grove-Belgium 2 Living Word Lutheran 1

JACKSON — The unbeaten Rockets (13-0-1) got past the Timberwolves (4-3-2), who visit Brookfield Academy Wednesday.

VanderPan Invitational

SHEBOYGAN FALLS — Abigail Gerhartz won the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 29.3 seconds while leading the Kewaskum girls to second place in Sheboygan Falls. Kewaskum (95.5) trailed only the hosts (147.5) while the boys finished with 48.5 points as Sheboygan North took first.

Bruce Penfield won the boys triple jump by clearing 40 feet, 7.75 inches for Kewaskum, which is off until the East Central Conference Championships on May 14 in Plymouth.

Lutheran Invitational

APPLETON — Sydney Falkowski won four events while leading the Kettle Moraine Lutheran girls to first place at the seven-team event Friday. The Chargers scored 195.5 points to top host Fox Valley Lutheran (173) while the KML boys took seventh (61.5), as Lakeside Lutheran took first (157).

Falkowski won the 200 (26.85), the 400 (1:01.74), the long jump (15-6) and teamed with Emma Wagner, Hayden Lauer and Gabriella Wallin to win the 1,600 relay in 4:07.64. Lauer took the triple jump (34-0) and Wagner won the 300 hurdles (50.13).

Amanda Hillman won the high jump for KML, which travels to the Hartford Union Invitational next Friday.
