Manchester City keep on winning.

Victory on Tuesday night was the Blues tenth straight victory in all competitions as they extended their unbeaten start to the season.

Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling were on the scoresheet as City defeated Napoli 2-1 at the Etihad.

Ederson saved a first-half penalty from Dries Mertens, but was unable to save a second penalty later in the match from Amadou Diawara.

The victory means the Blues have now won all three matches in the Champions League this season, and a point away at Napoli in their next group stage match in November would secure their passage into the knockout stages with two matches to spare.

Pep Guardiola won the tactical battle against Maurizio Sarri and said his Napoli side were 'maybe the best' team he has ever faced in his managerial career.

Jesus unbeaten for a YEAR

Incredible stat this: Gabriel Jesus last lost a game, for club and country, on October 29 2016 - for Palmeiras.

When he’s played, he’s never lost for City, and Brazil are unbeaten in 10 games since.

Incredible.

Jesus going a long way to help that stat himself as well, with 15 goals in 22 City games and seven in 10 for Brazil.

What a talent.

Otamendi reveals Guardiola secrets to success

Otamendi told Fox Sport Radio:

“After the match we are obliged to eat together. Nutrition and rest are important because we play continuously.

“Guardiola is quite picky with diet and not only that: he tells us that we all have to learn English. This is because team meetings are in this language, and in December I have an exam.

“Guardiola does all these things so that we can perform in the best possible way. These things help the team function.

“He is omnipresent, and not only for football. He always asks how things are going with our family and everything else.”

Hargreaves - De Bruyne's the best

Owen Hargreaves has joined the Kevin de Bruyne fan club - admitting he can do things with the ball that he’s never seen before.

“He’s the best,” said the former England international. “He’s the best passer of the ball for goals I’ve seen in a long time.

“Paul Scholes was the best short range passer, for me, David Beckham was the best long range passer.

“His passing for goals, almost like one bounce and into people... I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone do that before.”

Guardiola's pride

Pep Guardiola hailed victory over Napoli as one of the finest of his career.

“We faced one of the best sides I faced in my career - probably the best,” said the Catalan. “It is one of the wins I am most proud in my career.

“Today we won against an incredible team.

“To do that you have to do an incredible performance.

“That team takes out energy because they have the quality to take the ball as much as possible.

“My team is a team with a lot of quality. That is why it is one of the days I am proud the most.

“That is why they won eight games in a row in Italy.

“It is a team who bring you another step.”
